Hello All,
The clocks have gone forward, the nights are lighter and spring is on it's way (or so we are told, difficult to believe with all the snow!!).
With Richard off the Island this weekend Dave and myself checked the forcasts and decided to head out early on Sunday morning, weren't we lucky? What an absolutely gorgeous day, a touch windy at first but with a warm coat, a flask of coffee and some of the best views on the Island i can't think of a better way to start a Sunday.
We set off at about 8.30am and headed for Glen Maye, deciding against walking right down the Glen we thought instead we would get some shots of the waterfall, swollen by all that springtime snow. We then faced the choice of North or South. We headed South to one of my favourite views Niarbyl, then further down to Eary Cushlin. From there we carried on South and stopped at Fleswick bay and finally Bradda glen near the old cafe, one day i will drag Dave up to Milners tower.
Dave has had his film's developed and is scanning them as i write this so the pics won't be far off, hopefully hitting the site by this weekend.
Other trips planned this summer, we are hoping to get on the Calf of Man, Dave's son Curtis and Richard have bought a bigger boat so there should be some different views coming from off the Manx coast, and there is a trip on the MER to the top of Snaefell planned. so keep your eyes peeled.
Thanks and see yer later Manxviews Mark.
